Purchase and testing status updated October 6, 2026 · Based on vendor sales and support materials · Not hands-on tested by Logical Buys

Ted’s Woodworking is sold as a very large library of woodworking plans. This is a pre-purchase buyer’s guide, not a hands-on product test: we evaluate what the seller says is included and the questions a careful buyer should answer before paying.

Who it may—and may not—suit

Potentially a fit if you…

  • Enjoy having many project ideas in one place.
  • Can evaluate a drawing, cut list, and measurements before buying materials.
  • Want a broad project library rather than a single specialist plan.
  • Are comfortable treating the refund window as a real evaluation period.

Pause or look elsewhere if you…

  • Need one highly vetted plan for an exact build with no time to compare options.
  • Expect all plans in a large collection to have identical depth or editorial quality.
  • Need live, project-specific instruction before starting.
  • Would be relying on the plan count alone to decide whether the product is worth it.

A better way to evaluate the offer

A large catalog is only useful when you can find and follow a plan that works. Before buying, use this short checklist and make safety, fit, and current terms part of the decision.

  1. Request or review the seller’s free sample plan, then assess it as you would a real project—not just as promotional material.
  2. Choose one project you already understand well and compare its drawings, materials, units, and sequence against the detail you expect.
  3. Confirm the current price, delivery format, refund policy, and any optional add-ons at checkout. Do not rely on old launch-price language.
  4. Decide whether you need one proven plan or a wide library to explore. Those are different purchases with different value.
  5. Keep your order details and use the stated evaluation window if the library does not meet your needs.
  6. Independently assess tool safety, materials, measurements, and local requirements before starting any project. A plan library is not a substitute for safe working practice.

Bottom line

Ted’s Woodworking may make sense for a builder who values breadth and is willing to inspect individual plans before committing materials and time. It is less compelling for someone who needs one rigorously vetted plan or hands-on instruction. Let the quality of a sample plan—not the size of the headline number—make the decision.

Purchase confirmed; testing pending

We corrected the purchase and testing disclosures: Logical Buys purchased the product, but has not yet tested it. Earlier wording incorrectly stated that a core evaluation was complete.

Still pending: hands-on evaluation of the plan library, verification of claimed features, and assessment of any fulfillment or member services.

Material new evidence will be incorporated into this page with a dated explanation of what changed.
