A large catalog is only useful when you can find and follow a plan that works. Before buying, use this short checklist and make safety, fit, and current terms part of the decision.
- Request or review the seller’s free sample plan, then assess it as you would a real project—not just as promotional material.
- Choose one project you already understand well and compare its drawings, materials, units, and sequence against the detail you expect.
- Confirm the current price, delivery format, refund policy, and any optional add-ons at checkout. Do not rely on old launch-price language.
- Decide whether you need one proven plan or a wide library to explore. Those are different purchases with different value.
- Keep your order details and use the stated evaluation window if the library does not meet your needs.
- Independently assess tool safety, materials, measurements, and local requirements before starting any project. A plan library is not a substitute for safe working practice.
Bottom line
Ted’s Woodworking may make sense for a builder who values breadth and is willing to inspect individual plans before committing materials and time.
